What types of pitches will there be?

Start-ups, companies and investors will pitch at ruhrSUMMIT 2021.

Will the pitches take place digitally or on site in Bochum?

All pitches will take place exclusively digitally and will be shown on our digital platform on the Pitch Stage. Of course, the pitches will also be broadcast on screens in Bochum during the analog part and can be seen by the reduced group of participants. You won't miss a thing!

In which language do the pitches take place?

Start-up Pitches: English only.
Investor-Pitches: Englisch and German
Corporate Pitches: English and German

How long does a pitch take?

Pitches last 3 minutes plus 4 min Q&A.

Is there a jury?

No.

Is there a contest and a prize?

No.

Can I share my pitch deck?

Yes, as a pitcher you can share your screen and thus your presentation. We will familiarize you with the platform and its features before the event.

How many people from my team are allowed to hold the pitch and Q&A?

Only one person can pitch and accompany the Q&A round. For startups, this is the person who filled out the application form.

How and until when can I apply as a start-up?

As a start-up, do I have to buy a ticket in addition to my application?

As a pitching person, you do NOT need to purchase a ticket until we send you feedback after your application. If we accept your application, you will receive free access to the event platform.

In case of a rejection you can buy a start-up ticket and enjoy the event as a visitor.

However, your team can already purchase start-up tickets here independently of you as the pitching person, in order to be present as a visitor in any case.
